Can I write apps at home for my google phone?

Can you write apps at home for your google phone Or do you have to submit it through the android market and hope it gets approved?

Answer
You have to submit it through the android market and hope it gets approved. Wireless carriers hate apps for several reasons and usually install measures to prevent you from writing them. Mods and apps can sometimes also void the warranty.

How do you see restricted numbers on the google phone?

I keep on getting restricted numbers and I wanna know who it is, so yeah please help me. and by the way, not trapcall, not anything I have to pay for, and not going to the police or anything like that. and yeah I have a google phone. g1

FAQ about Mobile Marketing: Achieving Competitive Advantage Through Wireless Technology

I need advice on a good marketing strategy. I am momentarily brain dead. We sell mobile phones.?

We dont have a shop so we have to look for clients by cold calling. This has been very hectic and we arent achieving our numbers. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Answer
Hi There, I am sorry that i cannot be very specific as I do not know where you are and what kind of marketing your competition is doing. However i assume that it is very competitive. I would also like to assume that you have some form of edge against your competitor it may be package deal, pricing or payment package. I would feel that having a website will assist in convincing your customers that you "real". I know a lot of people shop or great bargains on the net. It may not be bad getting leads from the website although the percentage is lower. At the very least you may get to refer your customers to the web for virtual catalogues. What i would propose is perhaps getting a good package made up with a promotion. Perhaps a competition for free upgrades or accessories. And gathering data on the web for special discouts will generate leads and build database. You may need to do some fliers marketing that free registration and free ringtones on your web. This does not cost much but it will generally create traffic. Hopefully by intensifing the marketing promotion will help you accumulate better sales. Good Luck. BTW .. what kind of phones do you sell?

hello guys ... problem with a dissertation ... please help?

hello, i am doing a dissertation and i am stuck on the literature review .... my tutor says that is too descriptive .... i understand tht the literature review needs to be critical but i dont know what exactly does being critical mean .... this is one example of my review .... can u please tell me where am i going wrong - "With the growth and evolution of the Internet, the number of people using the internet for business is increasing and businesses are opting to use internet marketing which helps in building relationships with the end consumer. (Smith and Chaffey, 2002; Maddox and Gong, 2005) Komenar (1997, p.367) discussed that the reason for using e-marketing is most companies can improve their sales by reaching a global market via the internet and that it is cheaper than printed media. Several people agreed with this point including Smith and Chaffey (2002) and Herbig and Hale (1997) The important aspect of e-marketing is that it helps in creating closer relationships with the customers, maintaining a dialogue and understanding them better at the same time. This is achieved by using a variety of tools such as marketing via web sites, banner ads, opt-in e-mail, interactive kiosks, interactive TV and mobiles. (Smith and Chaffey, 2002 p.11)" please tell why is it descriptive and what should be done .... many thanks ....

Promoting a small business and marketing niche products can benefit from social media. But all I learned from this book is that Twitter is cool and the author is very, very impressed with herself. Oh, and Twitter is a great way to get folks to pump your book with glowingly positive reviews.

If you need to learn how to actually USE Twitter to promote a business, don't waste your time with this.

Social Media Marketing Expert, of over 20 years, Warren Whitlock and his co-author, Deborah Micek, give an a thorough insight into what Twitter is about, how to use it well to communicate with fellow Twitters and how essential a tool it is in helping you network with professionals as well as with friends.

An invaluable handbook to use when logging into your Twitter account and finding, DMs (direct messages), @____ messages and comments by those who you follow on Twitter.

The book is divided into 4 parts starting with a really good introduction on what Twitter is about, how you can use Twitter as an individual or a Company and the way Twitter can provide you with an essential tool in promoting yourself or your business.

`The New Media tsunami' is thundering. (p.13)

This statement made me perk up and read the next chapter eagerly, wondering how Twitter can really work for me.
I'd seen Warren Whitlock use Twitter to a large extent a long while back and decided to join Twitter as I thought it must be a good way to tweet about your works, if Warren used it regularly.

Then the following chapters explain how you can have a `real time' conversation with other professionals, friends, followers, the advantages of such networking, Twitter as an effective `micro-blogging' tool and how to really understand Twitter through giving advice and tips on keeping track of those you want to `talk @' to and the Twitter stream.

The book goes on to show the difference between marketing a brand as opposed to marketing your own name and how you can find which works best for you through ways of gaining followers and how you can become `follow worthy'. (Ch.5)
This Twitter handbook is an extremely useful tool in how to Tweet effectively and why you need to Tweet as well as ways of marketing yourself and be seen as a person, not a logo but someone real who others can communicate with on a business and personal level.

Warren Whitlock is an expert in his field of social media; After reading the book he co-writes, you'll see how Twitter is not just for saying 'hello....' but for connecting with the media and others who have a lot to 'twit' about. Knowing how to 'twitter' is the key to making Twitter work really well for you. Warren Whitlock and his co-author do just that.

This book was written very poorly, in a very choppy manner. It is difficult to follow with lots of rabbit trails. I am not sure where all of the excellent reviews originated, but I suspect it may be from free book offers. I would advise others to avoid this book and to use free Internet resources that discuss Twitter.

I origionally bought this book for my mom and a little for myself. For my mother it was bought because she keeps asking what twitter is and how to use it. The book is easier to give her than to answer all of her questions. For myself I was looking for some business uses to gain advantage and relevance in my marketplace not just regionally but nationally. This book gave me some ideas to use as strategies against my competitors who are unwilling to join the new media.
Twitter has become a social media phenomenon as of late. Deb and Warren do a great job of explaining what twitter is and the many uses for it. The book explains the origins and how the microblog works there is also some strategies for promoting business and personal ideas. Overall an excellent and easy read.
If you do not understand what twitter is this book is a great resource.
